Eye Care Exams

Eyeglasses/Contact Lens Fittings
Just like clothing has to fit right to give you a polished look, so do your contact lenses! However, when contact lenses don't fit right, there's more at stake than just an ill fitting jacket or suit coat. Poor fitting contacts can cause blurry vision, discomfort and eye damage. LASIK Consultant/LASIK Co-Management /LASIK Aftercare
The LASIK consultation will last approximately 2-3 hours. During this time, Dr. Magiske will conduct a through evaluation, which includes your eye care history, vision, eye health and overall health. During the appointment, you will learn if you are a good candidate for LASIK surgery and if it’s right for you.
After Dr. Magiske has provided you with an initial eye exam and you have been cleared as a candidate for LASIK eye surgery, he will refer you to a trusted LASIK eye surgeon.
After the LASIK surgery, Dr. Magiske will work to provide you personalized after care. Generally, he will want to see you within 24-48 hours to ensure everything is healing smoothly.
Dr. Magiske has ben performing LASIK consultations for decades, so you can rest easy knowing that you're in the hands of an experienced optometrist.
TreatMents & Exams
Medical Care
Dr. Magiske will provide surgical referrals and post operative care to those patients requiring surgical intervention. One of the most important responsibilities of a referring optometrist, is to build a good rapport with local corneal surgeons. Providing the surgeons with feedback and updates about your eye care can help to ensure a successful outcome.
Detecting Medical Issues Early
By utilizing ultra wide-filed Optomap Retinal Imaging, experience and compassionate optometrist, Dr. Magiske is able to provide early detection of life-threatening diseases like cancer, stroke and cardiovascular disease. Embryonic Stem Cell Corneal Graft (Bio D Optic)
An eye care specialist, Dr. Magiske has comprehensive experience providing consultations at his McMurray, PA office, for those patients who may be a candidate for a transplantation of corneal epithelial stem cells.
